I am feeling so old right now. My body just aches. It's part jet lag and part a bad fall I had yesterday, which left me with big bruises and achy joints. Flying home yesterday was a sad comedy of errors. I knew I had a tight connection in Frankfurt but what actually happened was ridiculous. We landed at 1:25 pm instead of 12:50 pm and were told we were re-booked on the 5:40 pm flight.
As we landed, they announced that they will transfer us to the other side of the terminal so we can make the 2:00 pm flight. It was a farce since we still had to get from Terminal A to C in 15 minutes. There were 7 of us racing across the airport, with passport control and another security check. And at some point, a United agent came running toward us with my boarding pass. It was insanity.
And, of course, my new bra set off every alarm and required a secondary check. I finally made it on the plane, barely breathing and noticed that it was an old plane. I have been choosing flights that have the new flat beds and this one was not what I had expected at all. The flight attendants hate the new planes and told me they were getting injured by them and they wish they were consulted on the configuration. That didn't help me.
After I settled in, they asked me why there are 5 stars next to my name when most passengers only have 4 stars. I was stumped. I have no idea what these stars are.
As a parting gift, my bags were lost. No one could tell me where they were and when I'd get them. I made the flight but my bags didn't. It took them a full day to let me know that they found my bags and they were heading home. I had the toughest time waiting up for them to arrive but they are here now and I have mega laundry to do.
The end
